About the site

Telford is our nuts and dried fruit facility based in Shropshire, producing a range of snacks and cereals for Asda stores.

There are a number of support roles on site with the majority of colleagues working within our operation.

About the role

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Leader to join the leadership team at our Dried Fruit & Nuts site in Telford, Shropshire. You will report directly into the Senior Manager – Operations and lead, motivate and drive performance in your area, whilst ensuring all rules, regulations, policies and procedures are being adhered to.

As the Warehouse Leader you will be responsible for the management of a site based warehouse team and coordinate the team within your responsibility to ensure that daily targets are achieved and daily orders are fully satisfied to the highest quality and standards whilst ensuring products are correctly picked in line with company and customer expectations.

You will ensure that all documentation and checks are completed and compliant and oversee the workload of the warehouse personnel ensuring that goods are despatched in a timely manner as per departmental KPI’s.

As a Warehouse Leader, you will be responsible to work with the Operations Leader, monitoring efficiencies, suggesting improvements, which will reduce losses through lean efficiencies and resource planning and assisting in the development of new ways of working to improve overall efficiencies.

As the Warehouse Team Leader you will update the Management systems as required. Developing and monitoring appropriate KPI’s across all areas of responsibility, ensuring these are used to improve shift performance of the warehouse team.

Shift Pattern: Rotating - 5.30am to 2.30pm Mon - Thurs & 5.30am to 12.30pm Fri / 2.00pm to 11pm Mon - Thurs/ & 12.00pm to 7pm Fri

What are we looking for?

You will be an experienced and passionate Warehouse Leader who has significant previous experience within a Food Production or FMCG environment with good working knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures.

As a knowledgeable leader, you will demonstrate the capability and drive to motivate colleagues, teams and peers by using strong interpersonal and communication skills.

You will have excellent communication skills and will have the confidence to challenge peers when appropriate. You will be able to work with diverse stakeholders and have the ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.

IOSH / NEBOSH qualifications are desirable for this role.
