About the site

Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. Several of our Group support functions are headquartered in Normanton which include Commercial, IT, Finance, People Team and our Planning Teams.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a new Warehouse Key Operative to join our team in Normanton, West Yorkshire. You will ensure that all stock is stored, handled and transported while following food hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines.

The shifts for this role are rotating 4 on 4 off Days (7.00 am – 7.00 pm) and Nights (7.00 pm – 7.00 am).

The hourly pay rate for this role is £12.22 with the potential to earn up to £12.72 per hour with bonus, plus benefits including:

You responsibilities will include

· Undertake receipt and check incoming stock in line with company goods in

· process, ensuring all Label and Temperature disciplines are completed as appropriate, and product is correctly located within the warehouse

· Accurately record number of ancillaries as necessary on all required paperwork.

· Undertake MHE truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and company warehouse guidelines observed

· Ensure all waste is disposed of safely and in line with company processes, segregating waste as necessary.

· Ensure individual targets / KPI’s are achieved in line with Warehouse Standards and Performance Reviews.

· Ensure that all relevant paperwork, relating to Goods In/Goods Out/Picking is completed in full at all times.

· Deputise and provide cover for absent colleagues as required, and regularly

Required skills and experience

· Forklift Truck Licence is essential

· Understanding of warehousing/store processes and procedures

· Previous experience within similar environment (desirable)

· Basic Food Hygiene Training

· Manual Handling Training

· PPT Licence and IOSH/H&S Certification (desirable)

· Prophet System Literate (desirable)

· Good English skills
