About the site

Sittingbourne is one of the largest of our operations where we pack fresh fruit and vegetables. Our pack house is in operation 24 hours per day, employing over 650 colleagues . We offer a broad range of roles based at site from Quality Assurance to Site Planners, Warehouse Operatives to Shift Operations Managers. We also have a small number of support roles to facilitate the day to day running of the operation.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to provide full advisory support to the operational team to maximise people efficiency and to help drive the right behaviors in line with our company values at site level.

Main duties include:

· Providing administration support to the HR Specialist for all absence management and ER case work and escalate any complex issues to the HR Manager by following up with all paperwork and ensuring managers have all relevant information to hand.

· Following up with the Labour planning team to follow up any outstanding absence related/non-attendance issues on a daily and weekly basis.

· Working with site leadership to proactively manage absence on a weekly basis.

· Working with the OH provider to submit new cases, support on ongoing, coordinate and track health surveillance ensuring correct process is followed.

· Providing key data to site leadership and HR Manager to help deliver improvements within Recruitment, ER, absence and retention.

· Ensuring the ER tracker system is fully utilised and all work requests are dealt with and prioritised.

· Providing support as note taker for low level investigations and disciplinary hearings.

.Provide Support to the recruitment advisor with recruitment and advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring that the recruitment policy has been followed for all vacancies.

. Provide administration support to both the HR Specialist and HR Manager.

· Promoting IPL as an employer of choice. Assist with the design of innovative attraction campaigns.

The core hours for this role are 8:30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday although there will also be a requirement to work outside of those hours on an ad hoc basis.

What are we looking for?

This is a great opportunity for a HR Administrator who is looking for their next step in their HR career, or someone who is already working in a HR Advisor role but would be keen to start their journey in a large FMCG business. A list of the specific skills and knowledge required is listed below;

· Excellent demonstration of spoken and written English

· Confident and has the ability to challenge and give constructive feedback at all levels within the organisation

· CIPD level 3 (or willing to work towards) or previous experience in a similar role

· Highly organized, ability to prioritise and able to work to deadlines

· Excellent interpersonal skills – friendly and approachable

· Conversant with all MS packages
