About the site

Telford is our nuts and dried fruit facility based in Shropshire, producing a range of snacks and cereals for Asda stores.

There are a number of support roles on site with the majority of colleagues working within our operation.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Hygienist, working within a team, to undertake all aspects of hygiene within our non-operational and operation areas, including offices; pack house and corridors.

Shifts: Monday - Thursday 6.00am - 2.30pm and Friday 6.00am - 12.30pm rotating with Monday - Thursday 2.30pm - 11.00pm and Friday 12.30pm - 7.00pm

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out general cleaning duties within the Office and Factory production areas

  • Providing a clean working environment for all colleagues to undertake their duties

  • Ensure that all training is adhered to and all required areas are controlled to meet BRC and COSHH standards.

  • Working to a timely manner as to maximize efficiency and completing additional tasks at quieter periods.

  • Handle chemicals as per COSHH training and regulations.

  • Comply with Hygiene Cleaning Schedule

  • Record all completed Hygiene on relevant sign off sheets

  • Comply with existing Cleaning Instruction cards and SOP’s

Please be aware that due to the nature of the products, this is an allergen environment and there are controls around this.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Good level of understanding of the English language

  • Understanding of health and safety policies in the work place

  • Food Safety Level 1 or equivalent

  • COSHH certification

  • Experience of working with factory environment

  • Good practical skills

  • The ability to work quickly and methodically

  • Excellent team working skills with the ability to work on own initiative

  • The ability to follow instructions

  • An awareness of Health & Safety

  • A willingness to work flexibly

  • Willing to take any training required for this role
