About the site

The majority of our positions are based within our main UK sites but there are also a few roles that require colleagues to operate from Asda’s head office in central Leeds. This supports closer working relationships with the wider business teams at Asda.

About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our team based at Asda House in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales forecasting and forecast accuracy for our produce, with the aim of delivering against agreed KPI targets with On Shelf Customer Availability, Waste, In Stock and Inbound.  By analysing past sales trends and patterns you will then be involved in influencing planning decisions in the short/medium and long term.

Key Responsibilities will also include:

  • Operation of the ASDA replenishment and supporting tools and systems, ensuring strong inputs and information into the system in order to maximise the performance of the Supply KPIs

  • Demonstrate Everyday Low Cost values by implementing opportunities to drive overall business efficiency and reducing cost

  • Adhere to ASDA and IPL Supply Chain One Best Way initiative and use and share best practice with colleagues across supply

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business and in particular with trading, merchandising and retail operations

  • Agree collaborative weekly sales plans with trading, also collaborating on sales volumes for new lines, promotions and events, ensuring stakeholders are in agreement prior to any implementation

  • Ensure the range change process is managed and implemented correctly for stores.

Please note: This role is based with the ASDA Supply team within the Divisional area, at ASDA House, Leeds. It will involve travel between ASDA House and other IPL Sites.

Please note the hours of work for this role are 8.30am to 5pm – Monday to Friday

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous Experience within a Planning/Forecasting role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • GSCEs in Maths and English – Grade C or above.

  • Very strong communication skills required at all levels.

  • An appreciation and understanding of Supply Chain and Commercial dynamics.

  • Expertise in working collaboratively with Buyers/Trading functions and operational colleagues towards a common set of goals.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • An understanding of replenishment and data analysis systems

  • Qualified to a University Degree level or equivalent in a Business or Logistics/Operations field

  • Experience of sales forecasting and forward-planning.

  • Experience working within retail sector
