About the site

Snetterton is our purpose built fully automated wine bottling and packaging plant in Norfolk. Running two fast moving lines; one bottling and one bag in box.

We supply products within exclusive brands, producer labels and Asda own brand. This is our smallest site in terms of workforce as our operation is heavily automated. There are a number of support roles on site and colleagues who work within our operation are highly skilled.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Production Operative working on a Double Day shift pattern to join the team. Please note the shift pattern for this vacancy is working Double Days rotating 6.00am to 2.00pm/2.00pm to 10.00pm – Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in managing the product flow through the automated line, quality sort produce and dress out defects, ensuring product specifications are met. Report defects or poor quality to Line Leader.

  • Ensure products are correctly packed to required target in line with company and customer expectations

  • Label, weigh and pack produce as required/trained

  • Ensure product and dry goods are offloaded in a safe and secure environment

  • Carry out all tasks outlined in the IPL training matrix applicable to this role using productive manufacturing methods

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to a “Clean as you go” approach following safe working practices

  • Promote good working relationships as an integral part of the team.

  • Carry out any reasonable additional tasks as trained and when requested

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience within a fast moving environment

  • Ability to work at heights

  • Licenced FLT holder desirable and ability to use PPT with appropriate training

  • The ability to concentrate while doing repetitive pressured tasks and an ability to follow instructions

  • The ability to work quickly and methodically

  • A willingness to work flexibly

  • ‘Can do’ attitude and proactive approach

  • Good practical and team working skills

  • Good level in both written & spoken English

  • Willing be developed and trained for the requirements of this role
