About the Site

Sittingbourne is the second largest of our operations where we also pack fresh fruit and vegetables.

Our pack house is in operation 24 hours a day, employing over 500 colleagues. We offer a broad range of roles based at site from Quality Assurance to Site Planners, Warehouse Operatives to Shift Operation Managers. We also have a small of number of support roles to facilitate the day to day running of the operation.

About the Role

We have a vacancy for a Stock Controller who will work alongside the Operations Team and will be responsible for overseeing and identifying site stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – days – 7am to 7pm

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify stock discrepancies, investigate root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions to improve.

  • To make necessary stock amendments on Pr2.

  • Recording, reporting and investigation of all stock write offs at the site.

  • Physical stock takes of stock holding at the end of financial quarter.

  • End of day write on /write off reporting to be summarised and submitted to Stocks Team Leader.

  • All pallet movements are correctly scanned onto a system.

  • Investigation of any operation issue related to stocks.

  • To report and log any movement, picking errors and Packhouse errors against shift and colleague responsible and forward all evidence of the errors to appropriate Shift Operations Leader / Shift Operations Manager to follow up with colleague.

  • Management of pallets & trays count.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Experience of working to KPI’s

  • Preferably experience of working in the Fresh Produce industry or within the Food Industry

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Reliable and Flexible

  • Attention to detail – numerically and logically

  • Auditing skills

  • Computer Literate with intermediate Excel knowledge as well as Word and Windows

  • Educated to GCSE standard including English and Maths

  • Experience of and ability to work within a multi-functional FMCG environment - desirable

  • Knowledge of PR2 - desirable
