About the site

Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables.

Several of our support functions are based here as well as the majority of our Commercial and Buying teams. Our pack house is in operation 24 hours a day and 364 days a year, employing over 700 colleagues. We offer a broad range of roles based at site from Production Operatives to Technical Managers, Business Unit Administrators to IT Specialists.

About the Role

We are looking for a SharePoint Developer to join our IT Team at our Head Office site in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

As a SharePoint Developer you will design, develop, manage and administer support of the SharePoint business system.  You will provide detailed technical design and development of SharePoint, using existing and emerging technology platforms, document and demonstrate solutions by developing layouts, diagram, charts, code comments & clear code

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical guidance on solution design, development best practise and set and monitor coding standards;

  • Develop modular and reusable code components following best practices and standards;

  • Interact with users to understand business requirements / process flows and translate into technical requirements for assigned projects and demand requests;

  • Collaborate with other developers, project managers, customers, database and system administrators for end to end application development & implementation;

  • Facilitate testing of changes / new software;

  • Participate in design and code review sessions;

  • Create end user documentation & training plans.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Significant experience of supporting and leading components of a MS SharePoint platform, (including Workflow functionality);

  • Significant experience of supporting & leading the design & build of MS SharePoint farms & intranets;

  • Relevant business qualification – degree, certification in platform etc.

  • Strong communications skills with the ability to present to & influence at all levels;

  • A “Head for Figures” coupled with exceptional analytical & problem solving skills;

  • Experience of delivering collaboration solutions in a Manufacturing / Logistical / FMCG environment specifically utilising MS SharePoint

  • Working in a faced paced entrepreneurial environment;

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
