About the site

The majority of our positions are based within our main UK sites but there are also a few roles that require colleagues to operate from Asda’s head office in central Leeds. This supports closer working relationships with the wider business teams at Asda.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Supply Chain & Materials Planner to join the IPL team at our Beverages team based in Asda House – Leeds City Centre.

Working as part of the Planning team, you will be responsible for effectively managing the flow of bottled wine from suppliers all over the world - Supporting the business to ensure that Asda receive high quality products in the most efficient manner.

Core Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Daily communication with Asda Supply team and Imports teams

  • Daily communication with Wineries, ensuring collection ready dates are achieved in line with Dynamic Wine process

  • Liaise with Asda providers and Imports teams to ensure that depot delivery dates are achieved

  • Monitor Supplier and third-party logistics KPIs to maintain and improve Shipped in Bottle availability

  • Hold quarterly review meetings with Asda Imports and Supply teams to maintain and improve the end-to-end supply chain

  • Maintain correct stock levels to meet operational requirements whilst minimising waste

  • Ensuring customer orders are met on time in full in line with Asda’s low cost operating model

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within Supply Chain planning roles in FMCG sector

  • Prolific in Microsoft Excel

  • MRP/ERP systems experience (e.g. SAP, Prophet etc.)

  • Inventory planning & management

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Confident communicator who can liaise with multi-level internal and external stakeholders

  • Highly organised
