About the site

Westry is our Cambridgeshire based potato and onion packing facility.

There are a number of support roles on site with the majority of colleagues working within our operation.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planner to join the IPL team at our potato and onion site at Westry, Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a global business with a £2 billion turnover.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Management and control of site returnable equipment including regular external audits

  • Management and control of site CHEP pallet account including regular audits

  • In conjunction with site & central Finance, own Invoice matching and accountability for returnable equipment, providing weekly / monthly data for financials

  • Responsible for accurate BU provisional figures to various departments & 3rd Party sites

  • Responsible for maintenance of essential departmental files

  • New product management

  • 3rd Party Liaison

  • Customer in-stock data collation

  • Key historic weekly information to relevant site functions

  • Demand Planner forecasting for site systems

  • Provide holiday & sickness cover for Production Planners

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience of working in an analytical role (planning or similar)

  • Microsoft Office Excel and use of various in house systems

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good all round education including Maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent)

  • Able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the business and external customers

  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise

  • To be able to work well as part of a team and manage own workload

  • Previous planning experience ideally a fast paced environment (Desirable)

  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system experience (Desirable)
