About the site

Ackton is our purpose built, state of the art banana ripening facility.

Based just a few minutes up the road from our Head Office, here you will also find our People and Finance teams, along with a number of Operational based roles.

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a Recruitment Assistant to join our People Team based in Ackton, West Yorkshire on a 10 month fixed term contract.

The successful Recruitment Assistant will be a driven individual who is enthusiastic about engaging with candidates and delivering an excellent service throughout the recruitment process, whilst providing administrative support to the recruitment team.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with internal colleagues and hiring managers, ensuring they are fully updated regarding their vacancies

  • Sift and screen candidate applications & CV’s to evaluate suitability for the role

  • Support with scheduling of interviews and assessment centres

  • Provide administrative support to the Recruitment Team

  • Manage the internal recruitment in box within defined SLA’s

  • Ensure that company recruitment policy has been followed for all vacancies

  • Respond to a variety of queries from internal and external customers / candidates

  • Ensure the recruitment database is maintained

  • Utilise internal recruitment system to manage candidate process

  • Liaise with HRBP’s to ensure compliance to the sign off process

Skills and Experience required

  • Proven work experience within a recruitment discipline (In-house is desirable)

  • Excellent administration skills

  • Experience of working within a fast paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

  • Highly organised with ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
